Super Bites are easier to digest
30/11/2010
Telstra Super has produced a series of fun and informative web videos to help make understanding super a bit easier.
With super savings likely to end up as the second biggest asset most people have (after the family home), it is important to take an interest in super now, no matter how far away retirement might be.
'Super Bites' are short, sharp and helpful. They run for between two and four minutes each and feature members of the fund's education team, taking viewers through different super-related topics, and are supported by a range of animations to highlight key information.
After an introduction message from Chief Executive Martin Crowe, the topics covered in the first group of videos are:
- Super Basics
- Consolidating Super
- Government Co-contributions
- Salary Sacrifice
- What happens to super when I die?
Mr Crowe said Super Bites add to the fund's focus of providing financial literacy resources for members of all ages and stages of life.
"These videos augment what is already a considerably expanded Member Education program, and are another milestone in our efforts to continue providing the highest levels of financial literacy enablers for our members", he said.
We are working hard on producing more videos to add to the Super Bites library, which will be released progressively from February next year.
