Investment update

Despite the volatility experienced in the last few months leading up to 30 June 2010, double-digit returns were achieved in domestic and international equities as well as listed property. 

The combination of these results together with the performance of our other assets classes resulted in five out of our eight investment options posting double-digit returns.

Investment returns of our diversified options in the year ending 30 June 2010 were:

Comparing Telstra Super's performance

To provide a meaningful comparison of how our investment options perform, we benchmark ourselves against the performance of other super funds.

Using SuperRatings surveys, Telstra Super endeavours to deliver results that rank in the top quartile of each survey.

The following table shows the performance of several Balanced investment options of well known funds participating in the SuperRatings Survey SR50 Balanced Index (to 30 June 2010).

Telstra Super's Balanced option was ranked in the top quartile over the 1 year and 5 year periods and outperformed the survey median over 3 years.
