At Telstra Super we treat the privacy and confidentiality of our members' personal information seriously.

Our commitment to privacy protection includes protection of your privacy when you contact us by the Internet. In this privacy statement we set out the policies and procedures that we adopt should you send us information about yourself when contacting us online.

When you visit the Telstra Super website

When someone visits the Telstra Super website we collect a certain amount of anonymous information as a result of that visit. That information tells us the date and time of the visit, how long the visitor spent at our website and the pages that were viewed during the course of that visit. We also collect the URL or internet address of the visitor.

The information that we collect does not allow us to identify you personally and is used in aggregated form in order to give us an idea of the volume of visits to the Telstra Super website. We use that information to gauge the effectiveness of the Telstra Super website and to assess ideas which could make the Telstra Super website more useful to our members.

If you use any of the tools provided on the Telstra Super website, such as an interactive worksheet or calculator, the calculations will run on your PC or on the Telstra Super server. If the information is run on our server, we may capture personal information that you enter when using those tools for the duration of your visit. This is to assist you as you input information during the course of the calculation and saves you needing to re-enter all your details if you wish to alter inputs to any particular calculation field. Any information you enter is cleared on a time out basis.

Should you subscribe to our online e-publication service, the personal information we collect is limited to your email address and subscription preference. Please be aware. If you subscribe to a Telstra Super Financial Planning e-publication, your email details will be passed on to Telstra Super Financial Planning Pty Ltd to expedite your subscription request. Telstra Super does not endorse or accept responsibility for the information or advice provided by Telstra Super Financial Planning Pty Ltd (ABN 74 097 777 725), AFSL 218 705. You should not ascribe the information being made available via Telstra Super Financial Planning Pty Ltd's newsletter to Telstra Super Pty Ltd.

Emails and making appointments

If you send us an email containing information about yourself, or make an appointment with Telstra Super Financial Planning, we may use that information in order to provide you with information about products or services that may be of interest to you. We may also use the information for market research or direct marketing purposes. It is our policy not to disclose personal information to other organisations unless we are required or authorised by law or we have your permission to do so.

The Telstra Super website currently uses 'cookie' technology to enhance your usage of the Telstra Super website and to identify information or benefits, features or services that may be of interest to you (based on your usage of the website) including for marketing purposes.
