Balanced option

For members seeking to earn moderately high returns over the medium to long term through growth, but wish to lower the risk of rapid changes in value over the short term. This is the default option for members aged under 60 who do not nominate an investment option.

Investment strategy

The Balanced option has a moderate bias towards growth assets such as Australian and international shares and property. This is balanced by an allocation towards financial assets such as Australian and international fixed interest securities and cash.
