TelstraSuper Chair completes final term

David Leggo will shortly complete his final term as Chair of Australia’s largest corporate superannuation fund, TelstraSuper.
Mr Leggo joined the Board in 2010 and will depart following completion of his final term on 30 June 2019. This is in accordance with the Fund’s constitution and Board renewal policy which provide that directors may serve a maximum of three terms of three years.
TelstraSuper CEO, Chris Davies said that Mr Leggo’s leadership has been instrumental in the success of the $21 billion fund.
“David has made an outstanding contribution to TelstraSuper throughout his time as Chair with a continuing focus on ‘members first’,” said Mr Davies. “He has championed innovation and always encouraged both the Board and Management to challenge the way we do things.”
“On behalf of the members and staff at TelstraSuper we thank David for his valuable contribution over the past nine years.”
Mr Leggo said that he is confident that the Fund is in a good position to continue to deliver for TelstraSuper members well into the future.
“From investment returns to strong member service offerings, TelstraSuper has always put members’ first,” said Mr Leggo. “I’m happy to be leaving the Fund in good hands and in a strong position to deliver on our mission, whilst keeping true to its core values which are more relevant than ever.”
The search for a new Chair is well underway and TelstraSuper expects to announce the appointment in due course.
