Why get financial advice

Financial advice not only can help you manage your wealth but also can make you feel more confident and in control at retirement compared to people who don’t receive advice. The right kind of financial advice can really make a big difference to your future. It can help you:

  • create strategies to achieve your financial goals
  • determine if you qualify for social security benefits i.e Centrelink
  • build long-term tax effective savings not just within super
  • avoid expensive mistakes
  • protect your family if something happens to you so they have ongoing financial security.

If you establish an ongoing advice service with your financial adviser, they'll be available to help you ensure your goals remain on track.

General and simple personal advice is included in the cost of your membership

Our goal is to help you achieve a financially secure future which is why we offer you access to general and simple personal advice about your TelstraSuper account over the phone at no additional cost. We can help you:

  • optimise your super so it's  working hard for you
  • choose investment options
  • review your insurance cover.

The difference between simple and comprehensive advice

Tailored advice to meet your needs

Our Advisers operate on a fee-for-service basis and don't receive any commissions or other payments which may influence the advice you receive. You'll receive advice that's tailored to your individual objectives, financial situation and needs. The first meeting with an adviser is obligation free and gives you the opportunity to decide whether you'd like to proceed with obtaining our advice.

Advice fees: no surprises

TelstraSuper Financial Planning has a range of fees in place depending on the level and type of advice you receive.  General and simple personal advice relating to your TelstraSuper account is provided at no additional cost.  Under superannuation  legislation we are required to charge fees for comprehensive personal advice.

We charge fixed fee amounts and always let you know what they are before a financial plan is prepared so you can decide if you want to proceed.
