Inactive low-balance account authorisation

Complete this form if you have an inactive low-balance account and would like to keep this account open with TelstraSuper. This will stop your super benefit being transferred to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Your authorisation will last for 16 months.

An inactive low-balance account, among other things:

  • is under $6,000
  • has no defined benefit component
  • has not satisfied a condition of release
  • has not – for a period of 16 months – received contributions, had a change to investment options or insurance cover, or been subject to a new or changed binding beneficiary nomination

You can find your TelstraSuper member number on the letter recently sent to you by TelstraSuper, on your annual statement or the welcome letter sent to you when you first joined. Alternatively, you can call us on 1300 033 166.
