TelstraSuper Chief Customer Officer Tim Anderson says the new features equip members with more information as well as more options for transacting with the fund.

“As a leading profit-to-member fund, we’re focused on implementing changes that deliver value for our members and create better member experiences,” said Mr Anderson. “A large part of this is listening to member feedback and then finding innovative ways to respond to member needs.”

Try our first digital advice tool

The Investment Choice Selector for members is our first digital advice tool, provided by TelstraSuper Financial Planning. The intuitive online tool takes you through a simple step-by-step questionnaire, instantly generating a recommendation as to which investment option is the most appropriate. In just a few minutes you can find out your investment style, your appetite for investment risk, and which investment option best suits you. From there you can chose to switch options or get phone advice to support your decision making.

Check the progress of your transactions

Members can now track the progress of selected transactions such as making enquiries, changing personal details, updating investment choice, or requesting withdrawals.
Members can access the new 'Active Cases' section within SuperOnline from the 'My account' menu, where active and completed cases (received in the past 3 months) will be displayed, and will include information such as the transaction type, date created, reference number, and progress status.

You can also view our service standards page which contains information about how long certain types of requests take, so you’ll know what to expect. This is a great new feature that gives members the ability to view the status of requests they have submitted and keep them updated with ease.

Discover if your super is on track

We’ve recently launched our new Retirement Lifestyle Planner. This tool is designed to help you answer questions you may have about your super balance at retirement, and how you’re tracking. Questions like: What is my likely balance at retirement? Will my money give me the standard of living I want? How long might it last? What type of income options would work for me? What can I do to make a difference?

This easy-to-use calculator lets you explore different options to see the impact they could have on your retirement outcomes. It gives you a snapshot of your estimated financial future and provides you with some ideas on how to improve your retirement lifestyle. Some members may also see a personalised balance projection on their dashboard, showing what your super balance will be, how it compares to the ASFA comfortable retirement standard, and what sort of fortnightly income it could generate.

USE THE TOOL

Contribute to your super via direct debit

Eligible members can now make large contributions of over $10,000 using direct debit via SuperOnline.

Members can make non-concessional contributions between $10,000 and $330,00 or downsizer contributions between $10,000 and $300,000. The types of contributions you can make will vary depending on your age and we must have a valid tax file number on your account.

The new feature provides members with an alternative to contributing by cheque or making multiple BPAY transactions.

MAKE A CONTRIBUTION

Manage your bank account details online

Some members can now manage and verify their bank account details via SuperOnline.

This new feature is located on the Personal Details page and gives eligible* members the ability to review or change the bank account details recorded on their TelstraSuper account.

The bank account management and verification service is also available as part of transactions such as managing income payments, opening a new income stream account, requesting a withdrawal or making a one-off direct debit contribution. This important feature helps reduce risk, as well as the need for manual submission of bank statement copies by members – making the process faster and simpler than ever.

* Members who already have a bank account recorded with TelstraSuper can manage their bank account details via the Personal Details page.
